MARINER’S LIBRARY

About our library

Housed in between the historic O. M. Reif Boathouse and the Paul Wilson Workshop, the cozy Les Cheneaux Mariner’s Library focuses on the study of maritime history of wooden vessels in the Les Cheneaux Islands, Eastern Upper Peninsula, and Michigan from the prehistoric period to the present.

This collection consists of almost 2,000 books, photographs, videotapes/DVDs, maps, nautical charts, and periodicals.

Research access to the Mariner’s Library is reserved for Les Cheneaux Historical Association Members and their guests. To become a member, please click here.
